# Clara

> Clara is an AI business management app for small and micro businesses in Nigeria. The owner tells Clara what happened, by typing or by voice, and Clara handles the sales, stock, customer orders, debts, invoices and receipts, and shows what is helping the business grow.

Clara is for anyone who sells things, makes things or does work for customers: provision shops, supermarkets, tailors and fashion designers, bakers, caterers, food vendors, restaurants, salons and barbers, POS agents, pharmacies, phone shops, boutiques, repairers, printers, event planners, farmers and traders.

## What Clara does
- Records sales, spending, payments and credit from plain messages such as "Sold 2 bags of rice to Damilare for 48k, he paid 20k". Clara shows a card and nothing is saved until the owner taps Save.
- Keeps customer orders and jobs: deposit, price, balance, due date, what the customer brought, what is still to buy, fitting notes, and status (taken, in progress, ready, delivered). Income is counted when the order is handed over.
- Keeps stock in the owner's own units, knows standard sizes (a crate of eggs is 30), records losses, and warns when stock runs low.
- Tracks who owes the business and who the business owes, with polite reminders ready to send on WhatsApp.
- Makes invoices and receipts with the business's name, logo and bank details, to share on WhatsApp, print or download.
- Works out profit from saved records (not guesses), the products that leave the most money, cost per item from a recipe, and alerts when an input's price rises.
- Lets staff record sales without seeing profit, costs or money.
- Works with bad or no network and sends records when the connection returns.

## How Clara keeps the books accurate
- The AI only reads the owner's words. Clara's own rules check every amount against what the owner said and do the sums in code.
- An amount the owner never said cannot be saved; Clara asks one short question instead of guessing.
- Corrections add a new record; history is never erased.
